Water Tag

This variation on the game of tag is perfect for summer pool parties.

Start this game in the shallow end of the pool or near the beach. One player is designated as “It.” The object is for It to tag another player and that player then becomes the new It. But there is a catch. The tag only counts if made above the water line. Any player can go under water to avoid the tag. And It can wait for the player to surface for air and make the tag above the water. Those who can hold their breath and swim well should be able to avoid getting tagged by spending much of the game under water.
