Kids love this all-time favorite! Be the team to pull the other across there line and win!

Number of participants: 5+
For: For kids over 7 years, youths and adults.
Intensity level: Medium
Preparations: Tie ribbon or scarf in the center of the rope.
Equipment: Long rope (approx. 20 ft.), Scarf or Ribbon

Divide children into two equal teams and place the teams on either end of the rope, one in front of the other. Be sure to make the teams even in numbers and age.  Create a line on the ground in front of each team (draw line in dirt, place a ribbon, chalk a line, etc…). On the word “Go!” both teams are to pull on the rope until one team forces the other team  to cross their line. The team who pulled the other across the line will win the game.

To make this more difficult, it can be required that the ENTIRE team must cross the line in order to lose the game.

Bonus: To make the game messier and more exciting, create a mud pool by watering down where the center of the rope would be and where the team to cross the line will be likely to fall in.
