Trivia Quiz
Teams compete against each other in this game show style trivia game!
For: For kids and adults of all ages.
Intensity level: Medium
Preparations: Prepare index cards with questions and answers. Questions should be age appropriate and can be party theme related (ex: Pirate Party - Pirate questions, Baseball Party - Baseball questions).
Equipment: Index Cards with Questions, 2 Noise Makers
To begin, divide children into 2 even teams and group each team together on one side of a room. If there is a large number of party guests participating, three teams can also be created. Give the teams each a noise maker to act as a “buzzer”. Begin the game by asking a question and the first team to buzz in will get to answer. If the answer is correct, award that team 2 points. If incorrect, zero points are handed out and the other team(s) should be offered a chance to answer. If the one of the other team(s) answers correctly, they will receive 1 point. After 10 to 20 questions, the team with the highest score wins. The game can be extended or shortened depending on the time frame allotted to play.
*This game can also be played to a specific, pre-determined score. For instance, the first team to 10 points will win the game.
*Awards can be given out to the winning team.
