String Treasure Hunt

Children love to follow the maze of yarn to find their treasure at the end!
For: For kids under 12 years
Intensity level: Medium
Preparations: Purchase multiple colored yarns and string them in a maze throughout a room or multiple rooms.
Equipment: Different color yarns
Children of all ages love this treasure hunt! To set up, gather a bolt of yarn per child. Be sure to have as many different colors as there are guests participating. String up different colored yarns throughout a room or multiple rooms. Be sure to zig zag under furniture, through doors, and more to make this exciting. Once all the yarn is unrolled, attach a “treasure” to the end of it (treasures can include: party favors, gifts, candy, etc…). Children each choose their own color and follow that yarn throughout the house while rolling it back into a ball. When children reach the end of their yarn, they will reach their treasure. All players win and enjoy this hunt!
*This game can also be played outdoors.
