Number of participants: 1+
For: For kids and youths under 16
Intensity level: Medium
Preparations: Purchase rings to toss and lawn stakes or bottles as the target.
Equipment: Rings

This game can be played indoors or outdoors. Set up a target (or multiple targets) for children to toss their rings at. Such targets can include lawn stakes, soda bottles, or any other items that the rings can be tossed over. One at a time, players carefully toss the rings at the target. For each ring that lands on the target, one point is allotted to the player. Each player gets 3 tries with 3 rings.

The amount of points received can determine the prize. For example, 1 ring or 1 point is a lollipop, 2 rings or 2 points is a candy bar, etc….

For older children, stand further away from the target or give smaller rings to toss.  Make this distance or difficulty reflect their abilities.

For young children, adjust the target to make this easier for them to accomplish or give them larger rings to toss.  Make this distance or difficulty reflect their abilities.
