Musical Chairs
Musical Chairs is a classically, fun party game for kids of many ages! Easy to play and fun for all, this game allows children to dance and compete to be the last kid standing!
For: For kids under 12 years
Intensity level: Medium
Preparations: Minimal: Chairs need to be set up in a circle.
Equipment: Music, Chairs
To begin, set chairs up in a circle (backs facing each other) in a wide open space. You will always begin with one less chair than the number of children playing (i.e. for 5 children, you will need 4 chairs). Each round starts when the music begins. Children begin to dance and march around the circle of chairs until the music stops (an adult should take charge of the music) and then they must sit down in one of the chairs. The player who is left standing without a chair is out of the game, another chair is taken away, and a new round starts. This play continues until there is only one remaining chair. The player who sits in the last chair is the awarded the winner.
