Lemon Roll
In this indoor relay race, you will quickly discover that lemons do not roll along straight paths.
For: For kids over 7 years, youths and adults.
Intensity level: Medium
Preparations: None or not specified.
Equipment: a lemon and a new, unsharpened pencil for each team
Separate guests equally into two or more teams and have them line up single file on a starting line at one end of the playing area. Give the captain of each team a full-size lemon and a long pencil that has not been sharpened. The object of the game is to use the pencil to prod the lemon across the floor to the finish line, roughly ten feet (three meters) away, and then back again so the next player on the team can do the same. The winning team is the first to have everyone on their team push their lemon up and down the play area successfully. No hands or feet allowed. Only the pencil may touch the lemon.
