Children take turns finding each other in this old favorite!

Number of participants: 3+
For: For kids under 12 years
Intensity level: Medium
Preparations: none
Equipment: none

Determine a large area to play in.  One child is choosen as the seeker, or “it”.   A spot in the center of the area needs to be choosen as safety. The seeker starts at safety, closes his/her eyes, and counts to 100. The remaining children must hide while the seeker is counting.  After the seeker counts to 100, he or she must yell “Ready or Not, Here I Come!” and the seeker tries to find the hidden children.  All of the children who are hiding must try to find a way to reach the safety before the seeker finds and tags them.  If a player reaches safety, that player cannot be tagged.   If the seeker finds and tags a player then that player is now “it”.  The game is now over and the new seeker starts a new game.

*Best played outdoors or in a large area.

*Be sure that players do not shove or push each other.  A simple tag on the shoulder or back is all that is required.
