Gods and Goddesses
This slow-moving musical chairs type of game requires balance and poise.
For: For kids and youths aged 7-16
Intensity level: Medium
Preparations: Cue up background music to play and stop during the game.
Equipment: hardcover books for all players, a music source to turn on/off
This is a great game when you need to calm your party down. Give a hardcover book to each player. Ask everyone to spread out around the room and balance the books on their heads. As soon as everyone is ready, the music begins. Players starting moving around the room, careful not to let their books fall. When the music stops, each player must stop and gracefully go down on one knee without dropping a book. No hands allowed; it is all about balance. Any player whose book falls is out of the game. When the music resumes, players stand up and begin moving again. The game continues in this way until only one player remains with a book in place.
