Two teams race against each other to put out the “fire” first! Every child gets the chance to play in this fun relay race!

Number of participants: 5+
For: For kids under 12 years
Intensity level: High
Preparations: none
Equipment: 2 Children's Firefighter Uniforms, 2 Chairs, 2 Empty Wrapping Paper Rolls

Set up a starting line and place 2 firefighters dress up uniforms there (hat, coat, boots, etc…). Set up 2 chairs (which will each be the “fire”) and place an empty wrapping paper roll (to act as the “hose”) on each chair. Divide the players into 2 even teams and line up each team behind the uniforms. On the word “Go!”, the first players on each team race to put on the uniform, run to the “fire” and pick up their “hoses”. They run around their chair once while using their “hose” and then race back to the start to take off the uniform. The next player then repeats the process and the game play continues until all players have had the opportunity to participate.  The first and fastest team to have all players complete the tasks wins the relay race.

*For older children place the starting line and the “fire” further apart.
