Duck, Duck, Goose!
Perfect for young children, this game requires no equipment or materials. Children will enjoy this timeless variation of tag with its racing and chasing fun!
For: For kids under 6 years.
Intensity level: Medium
Preparations: none
Equipment: none
Children sit on the ground in a circle and choose one child to be “it” or the “goose”. The goose starts to walk around the circle of children tapping each child on the head. Every time a child is patted on the head, the goose declares each child “duck” until the goose picks who will be the next goose. The goose then taps that player on the head and says “goose” and races around the circle of children trying not to get tagged. The new goose tries to catch the tagger until either the tagger is sitting in the empty spot or the goose has tagged him or her. The goose only has to race around the circle once until they have gotten back to the same spot the child tagged was in. The goose (new or old) then begins a new round and play resumes in the same manner.
