Cat Tails Game
Children chase each other’s tails and protect their own in this wacky game!
For: For kids under 12 years
Intensity level: Medium
Preparations: Cut or tear several strips of cloth at least one yard in length.
Equipment: Several Long Strips of Cloth
To begin, make one tail for each child. These tails can be made out of long strips of cloth and should be about one yard in length each. Give each child one of these long strips of cloth. Each child must tuck their tail into the back of their pants so that the tail just touches the ground. Be sure that no child ties the tail on, or the tail will not be able to come off easily. On the word “Go!”, the players will scramble and try to step on each others tails until they fall off. While doing so, children must also watch and protect their own tails against the other players. Tails cannot be pulled on with hands or held in place. If a child uses their hands, they are out of the game. If a child loses their tail, they are out of the game. The last child with a tail still attached wins the game.
*Best played in a large area outside.
