Don’t let the cat catch the rat in this fun, group game!

Determine a large indoor or outdoor area to play in and choose two children, one will be assigned the rat and one will become the cat. The rest of the children need to link hands and create a large circle. The rat stands inside the circle and the cat stays outside the circle. While outside, the cat is to continuously try to break through the children’s hands to get inside the circle and “catch” the rat. When the cat is successful and catches the rat, the pair of children who let the cat break through their arms will become the next cat and rat. A new game begins and play continues.
*This game is best played outside and with a large number of children.
