Cake Walk
This easy game is an excellent way to pass out cakes or other dessert to party guests!
For: For kids and adults of all ages.
Intensity level: Medium
Preparations: Create numbered squares with markers and construction paper. Buy or Make Cakes to pass out.
Equipment: Several Cakes, Music, Numbered Squares, Tape
Set out all cakes so children can see the prizes that can be won. Place numbered squares on floor in a circle and secure with tape. Be sure that each square is far enough from the others so that children can step or hop from one to the other. Children begin by standing on a numbered square. Assign an adult to start the music and when the music begins, children march around the circle, being sure to step on each square as they move on. When the music stops, children stop on the nearest numbered square. Once all children are standing on a number, allow one child to pull a number out of a hat that corresponds to a number on the floor. That child who is standing on that number wins a cake, cupcake, etc… If no child is on that number, another number should be chosen until a child wins.
*For cakes, ask each guest to bring a treat to share, or supply 3 or 4 cakes or treats.
