Bobbing for Apples
This old favorite is a great party game for any occasion! Children challenge themselves to grab an apple without their hands.
For: For kids and adults of all ages.
Intensity level: Medium
Preparations: None or not specified.
Equipment: Large Container, Water, Apples
Fill a large container (old wash tub, large Tupperware container, etc…) with cold water (ice included). Add many apples to the water so the surface is covered. Children who wish to participate will challenge themselves by taking turns bobbing for apples using only their teeth! To bob, children need to put their face in the water, hands behind their backs, and use only their teeth to bite down and grab the apples. This make take a few attempts to accomplish as children adjust to the cold water and learn how to grab the apple, so be sure to allow children as much time as they need to do this. Every child is a winner and children can then keep their apples to eat.
*Some younger children will find this difficult to accomplish without the use their hands. Be sure to adjust the rules and difficulty of the game to suit the needs of each player!
