Big Foot Race
Children enjoy this silly, challenging race with giant boxes on their feet.
For: For kids under 12 years
Intensity level: High
Preparations: Make feet with shoe boxes by taping the lids shut and cutting out a holes large enough for childrens feet.
Equipment: Shoe Boxes
Begin by created big shoes for the players. Use at least 4 shoe boxes (2 for each player). Tape the shoe boxes closed and cut a hole in the top large enough for children to place their foot in. Each race can be between only two players, with the other children cheering them on. Have the children who are racing put the shoe boxes on their feet and establish a starting and finish line. Line up the players behind the starting line. On the word “Go!”, children race against each other to the finish line. The shoes prevent children from running fast and are silly looking, so children of all ages enjoy this race. The first one across the finish line wins.
*Children can also be asked to make their own big shoes prior to coming to the party. Children enjoy making these and decorating them for the big race! Awards can be given out for Best Design, Best in Show, or Wackiest Design.
